Bruce Cohen

Bruce is an innovative and energetic person with the ability to direct and prioritize multiple projects and collaborate with commercial, manufacturing, procurement and R&D cross-functional teams.

He is resilient and adaptable to change, utilizing a combination of technical and interpersonal skills. Accomplished in the development of long and short term strategic and tactical solutions that improve competitive performance and decrease costs.

Extensive experience with the FDA (cGMPs, bar codes, RFID & ant counterfeiting), Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and industry groups (PhRMA, HDMA, NACDS, EFPIA, ASTM and GS 1).  Packaging materials and processing experience includes blow molded and injection molded components, glass, metal, films, paperboard and corrugated.

Instrumental in setting up one of the Rx industry’s first validated electronic specifications systems. Designed, implemented and directed a packaging graphics system that created, produced and supplied production artwork for all of a major Pharma’s USA packs for 22 years without a recall attributed to artwork.

Bruce has a B.S., Package Engineering, from Michigan State University. He is: a member and past chairman Drug & Pharmaceutical Packaging Committee; Medical TechSource presenter and moderator; PhRMA Packaging Committee, Paperless Label Committee and Barcode Task Force; Healthcare Compliance Packaging Council; EPCglobal HLS member, GS 1 HUG member & co-leader for Vaccines & Biologicals; Certified Bar Code Consultant. He is also a member of the editorial advisory board of the Canon Communications publication Pharmaceutical and Medical Packaging News.
