Roger has extensive experience in the creation of sourcing strategies within the pharma sector, the management of complex outsourcing projects, risk management and the development of secure supply chain and value chains. Roger consults with a number of clients in the pharma industry based in North America, Europe, and Asia with clients including start up/discovery enterprises, CMOs, private equity/ management consultants as well as integrated pharmaceutical companies.
With over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Roger has led a number of global sourcing teams, managing projects in Europe, US, China, India and other emerging economies as well as managing outsourcing projects for corporate rationalisation initiatives and site closure programs. His expertise includes strategic analysis, strategic sourcing, negotiations, relationship management and cultural understanding.
Roger gained a B.Sc from London University and then went onto to complete post graduate studies in business administration at the City University, London before being elected as a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply in 1997. He also holds a Lean Sigma Green Belt. Roger has lived in 3 countries and managed projects in 12 countries across 3 continents.
He is a regular speaker at international pharmaceutical conferences and seminars.
Roger lives in the UK with his wife Heather and has two sons. In his spare time he enjoys hill walking and charity work.
