This notice explains how Verta Life Sciences (“Verta,” “we,” “us”) handles personal data and cookies on vertalifesciences.com. We aim to keep this short, plain-English, and accurate.
Who we are
Verta Life Sciences is an international CMC consultancy with offices in Raleigh, North Carolina (United States); Cardiff (United Kingdom); and Tianjin (China). For privacy questions or to exercise any rights described below, contact us at experts@vertals.com.
What this site collects
The website itself is mostly passive. We don’t require an account, we don’t run remarketing or advertising pixels, and we don’t sell data. Specifically:
- Contact: If you email or phone the numbers listed on the site, we receive whatever you send us. We use that information only to respond to you and, if relevant, to discuss a potential engagement.
- Hosting logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc., USA) automatically logs basic technical data — IP address, user-agent, request path, timestamp — for a short period to operate the site, prevent abuse, and produce aggregate traffic counts. This is necessary for the service to function.
- Analytics (only with consent): If you click Accept on our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. If you click Decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no GA data is collected.
Cookies on this site
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store. We use as few as possible.

Google Fonts and the Tailwind CDN are loaded to render the site, but they do not set tracking cookies on your browser.
Your choices

- Declining analytics has no effect on the site — everything continues to work normally.
- You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings, which will reset your preferences.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act 2018, or US state privacy laws (including the CCPA / CPRA in California). These can include the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email experts@vertals.com and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. EU/UK residents also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Who we share data with
We use a small set of service providers to operate the site:
- Vercel Inc. (hosting, USA) — serves the website and produces standard hosting logs.
- Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, USA) — receives anonymized analytics events only if you accept analytics cookies. We use IP-anonymization and Google Consent Mode v2 so that nothing is sent before consent.
We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share it for advertising. International transfers (e.g. US-hosted analytics for EU/UK visitors) rely on the providers’ standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.
How long we keep things
Cookie lifetimes are listed in the table above. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting engagement, after which it is deleted or archived in line with our records-retention practices.
Changes to this notice
If we make material changes — for example, adding a new analytics or tracking tool — we will update this page and, if appropriate, re-prompt for consent. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
